We do floor repairs, we can remove an existing floor, repair or replace the joists underneath and then either refit the old flooring or supply and fit a new floor covering.
Below is a set of pictures showing some recent joist repairs,
this is the original oak flooring before the repairs were started (looks ok from the surface but the floor moved or bounced when walked on).
This is the floor boards below the existing oak flooring, (it shows that they are rotten).
we removed the floor boards to check on the joists below, as you can see there were signs of rot and they were laid directly on top of the sleeper walls without a damp proof course.
We removed the joists and cleaned up, then supplied and fitted new treated joists (with a damp proof course between them and the sleeper walls).
Not a great picture, but it shows the new flooring, once we had fitted the new joists and put down exterior grade ply board(to keep moisture away from the new flooring) to fit oak strip flooring over the top.
We also do screeding work to level existing concrete floors,
This is a picture of the concrete floor before it was flat enough to fit a new floor on it.
We prime the floor then use a self leveling screed thats between 1mm and 10mm thick to level the floor for the new oak flooring to be glued down.
This is the finished self leveling screed.
This shows the new solid oak flooring glued down to the new screed.
